Crowns
Overview
Crowns are dental restorations also known as “caps,” made of natural looking porcelain that fit over the teeth. Crowns may be necessary because of broken fillings, fractures or chips, or sensitive teeth. Many Medtour360 patients also receive crowns to improve the appearance of natural teeth that are malformed, misaligned or discolored. Crowns are shaped like natural teeth.
When it comes to crowns, MedTour360 uses the best in the business! Our lab turnaround time is between 3 and 5 days, giving you plenty of time to explore the country.
Is it right for me?
Some of Medtour360 Dental Specialist indications for a crown are:
Previously filled tooth where there now exists more filling than tooth. The existing tooth structure becomes weakened and can no longer support the filling.
•Extensive damage by decay.
•Discolorations and compromised esthetics.
•Fractures.
•Root canal - After root canal, teeth tend to become brittle and are more apt to fracture. These teeth need to be protected by a crown.
Are the results permanent or temporary?
If you follow your Medtour360 dentist's guidelines then your crown should last for a minimum of 15 years.
